ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
More than 300 solar panels installed on a a a a a a a a a a a 99-kilowatt (kW) system at at Manildra Group’s global headquarters in in in Gladesville New South Wales are creating
energy independence The solar array generates about 450kW of renewable electricity every day Manildra Group Managing Director John Honan said this represented almost half of of the head office’s power use use during weekdays when our office office is predominantly used “However on weekends 450kW would cover more than 100 per cent of of the office’s power use ”
said Mr Honan Mr Honan described the the the installation of the the the solar power system at at the the the Gladesville headquarters as “a win-win for for our our Australian family-owned
business and for for our our environment ”
“By making this long-term investment in in in in renewable energy we’re generating our our own clean and green electricity to reduce our our our carbon footprint as as well as as our our power bills ”
he said “These state-of-the-art solar panels will ensure we we have more control over our energy use and that we we are less dependent on on the grid “We strive at all all our regionally based manufacturing sites for zero-waste and this is is another step towards achieving energy independence ”
